CTET December 2024 Examination Structure

Paper Details

  • Paper I: For candidates applying to teach Classes I to V.
  • Paper II: For candidates applying to teach Classes VI to VIII.
  • Both Papers: Candidates who wish to be eligible to teach both levels must appear for both Paper I and Paper II.

CTET December 2024 Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must meet the minimum qualifications as laid down by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).
  • Eligibility Verification: The eligibility of candidates will be verified by the recruiting agency at the time of appointment.
  • Relaxation: 5% relaxation in qualifying marks is provided to candidates from SC/ST/OBC/Differently-abled categories.

CTET December 2024 Application Process

  • Step 1: Visit the official CTET website https://ctet.nic.in.
  • Step 2: Click on the “Apply Online” link.
  • Step 3: Fill in the application form and note down your registration number.
  • Step 4: Upload your scanned photograph (10-100KB) and signature (3-30KB) in JPG format.
  • Step 5: Pay the examination fee online through Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking.

Examination Fee

  • GST: Applicable as per the bank’s policy.
  • Mode of Payment: Online via Debit/Credit card or Net Banking.

Languages Available

  • Candidates must select two languages from the list provided. Some available languages are:
  • English (Code: 01)
  • Hindi (Code: 02)
  • Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, etc.

Qualifying Marks

  • Passing Criteria: Candidates scoring 60% or more will be considered as having passed the CTET.
  • Validity of Certificate: Lifetime validity of the CTET certificate. Candidates can take the exam multiple times to improve their scores.

Examination Centres

  • CTET will be conducted across various cities in India. Candidates can choose four preferred cities while applying.
  • Once allotted, the examination centre cannot be changed.

Important Instructions

  • Candidates must report to the examination centre 120 minutes before the scheduled time.
  • Biometric Authentication: Candidates may be subjected to biometric authentication at the exam centre.
  • Prohibited Items: Mobile phones, calculators, written materials, and any electronic devices are not allowed inside the exam hall.

E-Admit Card

  • Admit cards can be downloaded from the CTET website.
  • In case of any discrepancies, candidates should contact the CTET Unit.

Procedure for Conducting the Exam

  • Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) format with no negative marking.
  • Answers should be marked on OMR sheets provided during the exam.
